Kingston Archtop

Kingston Archtop

This one was probably under some kid's Christmas tree in the 60s. Made in Japan, loaded with old hide glue in the dovetail and a rusted steel neck reinforcement. Plywood laminate body with brass frets and original old tuners with deteriorating plastic tuner knobs. Has a surprisingly nice tailstock (I think) for such a cheap guitar.

After-market (StewMac) bridge being fitted.

Note September 05, 2024

It appears Kent White, the "Tin Man" of TM Technologies in California has passed away after suffering a fall.  Some of his videos on metal shaping and gas welding still seem available on YouTube, but the company website is down, and the future of TM Technologies and related products is questionable at this point in time.

Bench Block 129

Starrett Bench Block No.129

An older version of the Starrett 129 steel hardened bench block. Nice engraving, knurled sides and finish on this older example. Also many cheaper copies available these days as imports.
